It tells the story of three very different families vying for the same 1920s Spanish-style villa that they think will solve all their problems. Denis Leary and Ray Romano have both appeared in the Ice Age franchise (2002–present). I was surprised that the show was rated so low, but it made a lot more sense after many reviews explained that they didn’t make it past the first episode. The show is mysterious and slow-paced and may not be for everyone. I personally found it funny and entertaining, in a Liz Feldman sort of way that I enjoy. I really like the cast and everyone’s acting. I wasn’t sold on Ray Romano at first due to my own biases (I couldn’t for the life of me tear myself away from Everyone Loves Raymond), but that wore off pretty quickly. Each character has their own side story, which creates a tangled web of chaos that gradually, if not completely, unravels. By the last episode, I was pretty engrossed in the story, even though I had already figured out the main twist early on. I’m not mad at it though. I want to see more of this show and I really hope they get a second season. No need to waste time scrolling endlessly – here’s the full list of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
